Jean-Sébastien Francoeur is a director and director of photography with a passion for storytelling and visual artistry. With over a decade of experience in the industry, he has established himself as a versatile and accomplished artist, known for his exceptional work in documentaries, fiction projects, experimental films, music videos and publicity.

Born and raised in Montreal, Jean-Sébastien embarked on his creative journey at Concordia University, where he pursued a Baccalaureate in Film Production from 2008 to 2012. His dedication and talent were recognized with prestigious awards, including the Bourse Jean-François Bourassa Mémorial for Best Director of Photography in 2012 and the Bourse Location Michel Trudel for Director of Photography excellence in 2011.

Since launching his career in 2012, Jean-Sébastien has left an indelible mark on the cinematic landscape. His directorial and director of photography roles in the award-winning documentary feature film "The Roots Remain" garnered international acclaim and showcased his ability to capture compelling stories on screen. The film's success led him to work on numerous documentaries, travel TV shows, publicity ads, and fiction short films, allowing him to traverse the globe from Asia to Australia, Europe to Scandinavia, South America to Africa, and beyond.
